A worker reviewing affordable options after job health coverage ends

Lost employer coverage

Your job coverage ended. You still have options.

COBRA may let you keep the old plan, but it can feel expensive when the employer is no longer paying part of the cost. A Marketplace option may also be available. The important thing is to act before your enrollment window closes.

No drama. No Pressure. Just results.

What to do next

1

Keep the notice

Save the letter or email showing when your job-based coverage ends. You may be asked for proof of the loss.

2

Do not miss the window

HealthCare.gov says losing job-based coverage can create a Special Enrollment Period. The usual window is 60 days before or 60 days after the loss.

3

Call before choosing

COBRA and Marketplace coverage work differently. A licensed Health Plan Ninja advocate can explain the available path in plain language.
